C. Michael Hofbauer - Drums
From the vast lowlands of the high north C. Michael Hofbauer (Mike) came across Heathen Foray at a time when this project was just a rough draft of a band. At the beginning of every drummer's career you need to answer two questions: Where is the one drumstick, and where is the other one?
Mike didn't thought about that question very long because there where enough sticks at the China restaurant down the corner. To the sorrow of the owner, Mike drummed on every dish, sauce, candle, chair and customer. One was clear: This boy needed a drum set (or an own china restaurant)! After long considerations his parents choose the drum set because there where some problems with the permit and the Chinese mafia for the restaurant. The Mickey-Mouse drum set seemed like a bad joke to Mike, and soon to his parents, because he drummed it very soon into tiny pieces.
This was the moment when he got his first real drum set, which he owns till today, though it is more considered as firewood than a drum set.
Most of the time he learned to play drums without a teacher. Only in the years of 2005-2006 he got instructions from a drum teacher. But it didn't stop with drums: He picked up a Guitar, Mike produces music by himself and other bands, and he loves music of nearly every kind. Experience in bands from different styles brought a lot of know-how and in 2005/2006 he undertook the honourable task to play the drums in Heathen Foray!
